Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Prime Daybook, operated by BRL Digital Studio, handles information when you use the Android application and optional Prime Cloud services.
1. Offline-first use
Prime Daybook can be used without signing in. Notes created while using the app locally are stored on your device. Local-only notes are not sent to Prime Daybook servers unless you choose to sign in and use Prime Cloud features that synchronize them.
2. Information we process
Depending on the features you use, Prime Daybook may process:
- Account information: Google account identifier, email address, display name, and profile image URL provided through Google Sign-In.
- Device and session information: an app-generated device identifier, device label, platform, app version, session metadata, and hashed refresh-token records.
- Prime Cloud content: notes, Markdown content, tags, note dates, reminder information, archive/pin state, and synchronization metadata such as revisions and change history.
- Purchase and entitlement information: Prime Cloud product identifier, purchase/order metadata, purchase timestamps, entitlement status, and a cryptographic hash of the Google Play purchase token. Prime Daybook does not store your payment-card details.
- Operational information: server logs and technical error information required to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
3. Why we use this information
- to authenticate your optional Prime Daybook account;
- to synchronize and restore Prime Cloud content across your devices;
- to maintain device sessions and protect accounts from unauthorized access;
- to verify and restore Google Play entitlements;
- to diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and maintain service reliability.
4. Service providers
Prime Daybook uses service providers only where necessary to provide the application and optional cloud features. These may include Google for Google Sign-In and Google Play Billing, and infrastructure providers used to host the Prime Daybook API and database, including Railway. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
5. Optional connected services
If you explicitly connect Prime Daybook to a supported third-party assistant or app, such as ChatGPT, that service may send only the content and action details needed to perform the request you approve, such as creating a note in your Prime Cloud workspace. Prime Daybook does not receive your full ChatGPT conversation history, ChatGPT subscription credentials, or OpenAI API keys through this connection. Disconnecting the integration stops future access, but notes you already chose to save remain in Prime Cloud until you delete them.
6. Advertising and sale of data
Prime Daybook does not display third-party advertising, does not use the Android Advertising ID for advertising, and does not sell personal information.
7. Security
Prime Cloud traffic is transmitted over HTTPS in production. Refresh tokens are stored by the backend only as cryptographic hashes. On Android, account session material is stored using Android Keystore-backed encryption. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we apply reasonable safeguards appropriate to the data and service.
8. Data retention and deletion
Cloud account data is retained while your Prime Daybook account is active and as needed to provide Prime Cloud. You may request deletion of your account and associated Prime Daybook cloud data. See the Account Deletion page for instructions.
Deleting your Prime Daybook cloud account does not automatically erase notes that remain locally on your devices. Local app data can be removed from the device by deleting notes, clearing application data, or uninstalling the app. Google Play may separately retain transaction records under Google's own policies and legal obligations.
9. Children
Prime Daybook is a general productivity application and is not designed specifically for children. We do not knowingly use Prime Daybook to solicit personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Prime Daybook evolves. The current version will be published at this URL with an updated revision date.
